Professor Alexandre Reymond Appointed New Director of Health 2030 Genome Center

The Health 2030 Genome Center, a leading hub for genomic research and innovation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexandre Reymond as its new Director. With decades of experience in genomics and a proven track record of fostering scientific excellence, Prof Reymond will lead the center into its next phase of growth and discovery.
Prof Reymond brings an exceptional academic and research background to the role, being a prominent figure in the field of human genetics. He is internationally recognized for his groundbreaking work on structural variation and its impact on human health and disease. Previously, he held the position of Director at the Center for Integrative Genomics (CIG) at the University of Lausanne (https://www.unil.ch/cig/en/home.html), where he has played a pivotal role in advancing genomic research and education. He was the President of the European Society of Human Genetics between 2019 and 2021 (ESHG, https://www.eshg.org/about-the-eshg/history).
In his new capacity, Prof Reymond will oversee the Health 2030 Genome Center’s strategic initiatives, which focus on leveraging cutting-edge genomic technologies to advance personalized medicine, population health, and sustainable healthcare solutions. Under his leadership, the center aims to strengthen its collaborations with academic institutions, healthcare providers, and industry partners to accelerate the translation of genomic research into tangible benefits for society.
