Dive into the heart of a research laboratory
Scientific research has always carried within it the greatest hopes and the greatest perils for humanity. Every great discovery opens the doors to a world of new possibilities that must be evaluated collectively. Yet there is still a great deal of ignorance about what is at stake in science. Debates on the patenting of life, eugenics, and risk assessment protocols in relation to applications in the food, medical and military fields are mostly confined to the scientific press. This absence results in a great mistrust of scientific institutions and generates a more or less rational fear. Is it possible through artistic creation to open the debate and to inscribe these issues in the collective consciousness?
