Anouchka Junod studied psychology at Columbia University and subsequently obtained her PhD in Neuroscience in 2009 in the group of Prof. Ron Stoop at the Centre de Neurosciences Psychiatriques, CHUV, studying amygdala functional microcircuitry. She then went on for post-doctoral training, first with Prof Regina Sullivan at New York University and then with Prof René Hen at Columbia University, in the field of psychiatric neuroscience, particularly depression and anxiety in animal models. In parallel she achieved a Certificate in Public Relations, and occupied a position in corporate communications at Shire, a pharmaceutical group, before joining Synapsy.
