Laboratory for Soft Bioelectronics Interfaces (LSBI)

The team

Professor Lacour, Bertarelli Foundation Chair in Neuroprosthetic Technology, is the director of the Laboratory for Soft Bioelectronics Interfaces (LSBI), a multidisciplinary group at the crossroads of engineering and biology.

Its research explores materials, technology and integration of soft bioelectronic interfaces or "electronic skins". It designs and characterises stretchable materials and devices, and implements them into ultra-compliant, conformable circuitry and soft biointerfaces. The field of applications of Soft BioElectronics Interfaces is vast, ranging from novel user touch interfaces, robotic skins to long-term active neuroprosthesis.
