

VIRTUAL REALITY ENGINEER FOR APPLIED NEUROSCIENCE RESEARCH
The Virtual Reality facility provides the Campus Biotech (http://www.campusbiotech.ch) research community with state-of-the-art equipment in the field of immersive interaction, and motion analysis in virtual reality for experimental research and clinical applications in neuroscience and related field. Examples of applications include: cognitive, affective and social neuroscience, cognitive and effective assessment, cognitive and behavioral therapy, neurological rehabilitation, gait and upper limb rehabilitation. The facility is part of the larger Human Neuroscience Platform (HNP, https://hnp.fcbg.ch/) of Campus Biotech, offering equipment and competences for human neuroscience research, including but not limited to neurophysiology and electrical neuroimaging, non-invasive brain stimulation or neuromodulation, psychophysics, cognitive and behavioral experimentation, movement and gait analysis, and magnetic resonance imaging.
Job Description
Combining strong engineering, analytical and organizing skills, you will join the current team of four Virtual Reality Facility engineers. You will work with researchers and engineers of Campus Biotech in designing, developing and maintaining software and hardware solutions for research projects involving virtual reality, motion capture technology, biomechanics and robotics You will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of virtual reality equipment, including large immersive systems (stereoscopic displays, HMD, etc.), full-body motion capture, and 3D content creation tools.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop software and gamified applications mostly for research
- Prepare the data collection and analysis in such apps
- Design and implement new interfaces/technologies for Augmented and Virtual Reality
- Active participation in collaborative innovation projects
- Operate and manage the facility equipment, including: supervising all equipment and software (VR, AR, tablets, …), managing user access, enforcing procedures, and training of the facility users
- Facilitate knowledge sharing across the different facilities of the Human Neuroscience Platform (HNP) of Campus Biotech
